TCI: Armed Robbery spree, four attacks in three days, Suspect charged in Judah Gail murder

#Providenciales, August 23, 2018 – Turks and Caicos – Police have made an arrest in the murder of Judah Gail and have formally charged a 23-year old young man of Blue Hills with the killing and gun possession since Tuesday.

Police report that within the week, the man, nicknamed ‘Mad Max’ and who had been on the run, will be arraigned on three counts, namely: discharging ammunition, possession of an unlicensed firearm and the heftiest of all crimes, murder.

Gail was gunned down in plain sight of those hanging out at a local bar on Aviation Drive on Friday August 3, 2018.

Police are asking for help in three armed robbery cases.

One armed attack happened on Monday near the Beaches Roundabout where staff at a nearby plaza was robbed by armed men, who ran off into bushes with stolen cash after firing off a gun shot; no one was hurt.  The incident, according to a police crime report happened around 11 p.m.

On Tuesday, three armed men walked into a store in Blue Hills and robbed the cashier of money, in a bold daytime heist.  Again no one was hurt and the culprits got away on foot.

In Five Cays, a man parked outside of a residence was held at gunpoint and robbed of his vehicle.  The man is unharmed and no description of the vehicle was provided by Police.
