#TurksandCaicos, July 31, 2023 – In a story now making international headlines, travelers leaving the Turks and Caicos recently were treated to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on their flight rather than the usual airplane fare after a food mishap.

British Airways flight BA252, left the Turks and Caicos for its 12-hour flight on Saturday, July 23, but where there were supposed to be meals waiting for the long journey, there was nothing for passengers to eat.

Airline workers bought the KFC in The Bahamas while on a stopover and passengers shared videos of the food being handed out. Some passengers described it as a disgrace as a few travelers were given one piece of chicken for the extended journey.

In a statement to the media, British Airways is quoted as saying.

“Our teams sprung into action and made sure our customers had something to eat— We apologise to customers that their full meal service was not available, and we had to wing it on this occasion. We’re sorry if we ruffled any feathers.”

The airline indicated that there were unforeseen circumstances while people claiming to be passengers said the food went bad. One passenger speaking with The (UK) Sun blamed the intense heat.
