Clint Watson leaves OPM to head Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas

#TheBahamas, June 18, 2023 – Clint Watson, former ZNS reporter turned Government Press Secretary is returning to the media company this time in the top position as General Manager of The Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB)

The Office of the Prime Minister made the announcement on Tuesday, June 13th and had glowing recommendations for the media expert.

“Clint Watson has served with distinction in the role of Press Secretary, building a robust press architecture from the ground up. He played a critical role in building the first-ever full-time Press Office in the OPM, a pioneering move that has substantially improved the government’s communications with the public,” a press release said.

Credited with making the current administration ‘the most transparent in Bahamian history’ by instituting weekly press briefings and even making time to support small businesses, Watson will now oversee the government owned broadcast corporation.

“Watson now takes his experience and the innovation he brought to The Office of The Prime Minister to the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas. Having successfully launched a News Station, we look forward to seeing the results of Watson’s innovative and visionary approach to helping the BCB fulfill its mission to inform, educate and entertain,”  the office said.

Clint Watson led his final OPM Media Briefing this past Thursday, June 15.
