Another earthquake in Caribbean

July 27, 2023 – Just under three weeks after two earthquakes shook the Eastern Caribbean, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Caribbean once again, approximately 63 kilometers west-northwest of Trinidad and Tobago on Monday night, July 24th, 2023.

According to the University of West Indies Seismic Research Centre’s (UWI SRC), preliminary recorded information, the earthquake shook at 11:33pm (local time) and had a depth of 50 km.

Additionally, UWI SRC revealed the nearby cities in Trinidad and Tobago where it was felt, its distance and direction to epicenter.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, 63 km, WNW; Arima, Trinidad and Tobago, 89 km, WNW; San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, 92 km, NW.
