#TurksandCaicos, April 11, 2023 – After four days of in-pool competition, the CARIFTA Swim Meet is officially over though the open water events are still on for Monday April 10th.

While they did not manage to secure any medals this year, the Turks and Caicos youngsters put up a good show against their Caribbean counterparts, competing in multiple events across the meet including the 50m backstroke, which nearly every TCI competitor, regardless of age group participated in.

The Bahamas defended their title in Curaçao after their 2022 win at home, topping the medal table with 85 medals: 37 gold, 27 silver and 21 bronze for a historic 5 time win. Cayman was in second place with 53 medals 25 of them gold, and Trinidad and Tobago rounded out third with 54 medals 22 of which were gold.
