CARIFTA 2023 to begin

#TheBahamas, April 6, 2023 – The 50th CARIFTA Track and Field meet begins tomorrow April 7th, with the official opening ceremony in Nassau at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium. Twenty junior athletes from the Turks and Caicos will be representing the country at the event slated for the Bahamas.

The sports commission says one of the athletes in Track & Field to watch is Antwon Walkin, Discus and Shot-Put thrower, who achieved a new personal best of 50.74 in discus at the Jamaican Boys and Girls Championships earlier this year. 

Fourteen CARIFTA swimmers have already arrived in Curaçao for their competition; you can see them on FLOW Sports Channel 190 or via the Flow Sports App.
