Weekend Roadblocks in Providenciales; Police warn about Traffic Infractions

#TurksandCaicos, July 31, 2023 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force conducted a series of traffic enforcement operations on Saturday 29th July, 2023, and Sunday 30th July 2023.

Police checkpoints were established at the Susie Turn Roundabout and the Five Cays/South Dock Road Intersection by Operational Response and Tactical Unit officers.

The activities are part of a strategic plan to combat illegal activities in the TCI and include having increased visibility of our law enforcement on the island’s roadways.

The public is kindly asked to comply with all instructions of law enforcement personnel, especially when stopped and questioned during this time.

Additionally, motorists are asked to obey the law, failure to obey, will result in you being fined. The RTCIPF will continue these operations and we wish to thank the public for their patience and support during these operations.

Police are advising persons to notify the closest police station, contact 911 or TCI CrimeStoppers at 1-800-8477 and give any information on illegal activities anonymously. Kindly see attached data following last weekend’s traffic enforcement activities
